EVALUATION OF BLOG EXPERIENCE

Once time ago I made a blog using the blogger platform, but this blog was for sharing my own music (I used to have a rock band). This is my first time  that I writing a blog. This is the most embarrassing thing that I ever made.

This experience was really weird (I never saw myself writing a blog) because I never have shared a thing of my personal life in social networks (my feelings are very confidential). I always have shared random things that do not represent me and my feelings, wishes and opinions

Leaving aside the problem of sharing, the second problem was the grammar (I have been forgetting all) and I always used the google translate (I hope they will improve the language translation algorithm ) but It wasn’t reliable as I would have wished.

In conclusion, It was a good experience  I think that I have learnt a little more but I still feeling insecure when I try to talk in English because I always finished like Lucho Jara –joke– . Finally I think I can learn more that language outside a classroom It is as absurd to insist on "teaching " in that way (in my opinion) it’s just like a laboratory English vs life English, we need to feel the English in natural conditions.

My best birthday ever

I don't like to talk about my privacy. I don't remember so well about a memorable birthday, but I think that It was when I had ten-years-old period approximately. I remember those parties, they were very happy. I remember full of gifts parties with many guests. All we were laughing, happy sharing, It was so sweet.

Well, I think that my very best party was exactly (now that I have checked tons of family photo) when I was eight-year-old. It was very especial for me, I remember...(remember is very hard to me) This birthday was the last time that I saw her smile, I'm talking about my first girlfriend.I remember her pretty face as it was yesterday (a friendly shadow). Grace was my frst love and I always remember her. As well I remember many old friends (now, They are unfriends).

My work as an artist

I'm going to talk about my work as an artist. At the present time, I've been working in design pieces leaving aside a bit the art work I'm developing a wheat coffee trade mark (callana toasted). Always I've tried to make profit things.

I hate romanticism like a production strategy in art –art for art’s sake– and I hate the Chilean cryptic conceptualism (wrong way to generate better audiences and to reach to ordinary people).

Well, in my short time as an artist –cof, cof, artist postulant I'd say– I've been producing many photographic projects from parody (using Chilean way to generate contrast with the first world art tendencies) to social documentary photography (not in common way centered in specific "social groups" like ). Now, I'm working with Arduino and electronics. My last work (using Arduino) consist in controlling the flow of people in a specific place, the data is sent to my computer where is processed and displayed as visual and sound data (keeping in mind "discipline and punish" work).

Antonio Quintana

Antonio Quintana was a Chilean master of black and white photography. He portrayed the Chilean people. He worked as a professor of chemistry and physics for photojournalists in the journalism school in the University of Chile. He was also a political activist and member of the communist party.

His photographic work covered many photographic genres from portrait to architectural photography. He worked portraying the Chilean people. His main work was "El Rostro de Chile". In this work, he traveled along of Chile photographing all kind of peoples. He introduces the social genre in Chilean photography

I like because we can see in his work the mix of poetic and technics at the same level. His style and composition remember me the masters like Walker Evans and Ansel Adams. When I see his work, I see how He worked the light/dark, his sensitivity, and composition. He trims the reality in the decisive moment when the light intersect the shapes. Finally, I like the social connotation that involved his work, he made a visual radiography of the Chilean people.
