The history of a Picture

This picture compares the shell, universally know isotype, with the "hell" word. Was taken for Matt Jalbert in 2008. Shows accidentally the shell's logo with the 's' off. This image is about how the people perceive and related this company with ecological disasters caused by the indiscriminate extraction of oil at sea for the shell.


I like for the following concept/reason

Minimum gesture

"Because is a little intervention in the isotype and logotype that alter the graphical that we know. This minimum gesture reconfigures the meaning and  showing the dark side of this company."

Economy of means

He met with the image and just touch the camera shutter. He was just in the right time and place, he was lucky.

Ecological Reason

And finally, I like because I'm interested in the ecology related subjects. However, you should strive to find the relationship between the two images (normal shell's logo and shell with 's' off).
